1. Why AI? 

Companies today are grappling with an array of challenges when it comes to managing their content effectively. From organizing and securing vast amounts of data to harnessing its true power, the task at hand is no small feat. In fact, according to IDC, a staggering 90 percent of the data generated by organizations remains unstructured. Imagine all the valuable information that flows through an enterprise – spreadsheets, videos, documents – scattered across different platforms and systems. It’s like trying to piece together a puzzle without knowing where each fragment belongs. Large Language Models (LLMs) are key to unlocking the value of this enterprise content.

2. Can you give an example?

Imagine a multinational financial institution, where the heartbeat of productivity lies within its document-centric processes. From crafting persuasive pitches to meticulously evaluating clients and documenting crucial information, this powerhouse relies heavily on unstructured data and documents rather than structured data for its intelligence. But here’s the catch – these valuable documents are scattered across more than ten different systems in five distinct regions. It’s like searching for a needle in a haystack when trying to secure or even locate all the relevant files related to just one client.

Now picture this scenario: a major incident occurs that sends shockwaves through the industry. The firm needs answers fast – how can they swiftly search through its vast collection of documents to determine the exposure to such a bad actor? Without a centralized hub for business content or by leveraging cutting-edge AI technology, tackling such an endeavor would be nothing short of an epic task.

With Box at the core of its content management strategy and with Box AI, the firm has centralized its content and is transforming how it works with that content. It is driving intelligence and efficiency, from automating repetitive workflows to extracting critical insights from content instantly, all while keeping that content secure. For example, analysts can use Box AI to summarize lengthy financial reports to inform their rating recommendation.
