Gideon Lett – Chief Growth Officer

From Harriman, Tennessee. Currently living in San Francisco, California.

I joined BSA in July 2021.

Prior to joining BSA, I launched and led California operations for Monument Advocacy, served as a longtime government affairs and growth executive at TechNet, and advanced global fair tech and social impact initiatives as a Senior Advisor for Access Partnership.

Earlier in my career, I served as a senior political aide to congressional leadership and state attorneys general, directed political operations for the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), and advised clients on issues management and strategic communications campaigns at the global public affairs consultancy, APCO Worldwide.

I hold a degree in public administration from Samford University.

What’s the most unique part about working at BSA?

A global team of extremely smart colleagues. Having worked for other trade associations with a purely domestic focus, the ability to work on shared priorities and projects across the globe has been really rewarding.

How would you describe BSA and the software industry to someone unfamiliar with them?

Software is more than an industry. It’s a ubiquitous set of digital tools used to leverage data in every part of the economy and society.

What attracted you to work at BSA?

The highly regarded reputations of the organization and team.

Favorite spot for a coffee meeting?

Cafe Réveille in San Francisco’s Lower Haight neighborhood.

Tell us one fun fact about you (that might surprise your colleagues).

I recently took up scuba diving to address my irrational fear of undersea creatures.

What’s one thing on your bucket list?

To skydive. I plan to check this off the list in 2025!
